The major academic affiliations for the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System are the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Reno, and the East Bay Surgical Program at the University of California, San Francisco.

Veterans Service Organizations

VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System maintains a good working relationship with all of our veteran service organization (VSO) partners. We regularly brief our VSO representatives on changes impacting veterans' health care.

A Veterans Advisory Council (VAC) has been established which includes stakeholders from a number of veterans groups. The VAC meets quarterly.

US Department of Defense

As a participant in the US Department of Defense TRICARE Program*, VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System serves as the main referral source for women's health and orthopedic specialty appointments.
