Scott E. Mambourg, PharmD, BCPS, FACCP, FAPhA VISN 21 Pharmacy Executive & PGY-2 Outcomes/Analytics Residency Director
Scott E. Mambourg, PharmD, BCPS graduated from Idaho State University College of Pharmacy in 1995 and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the VA Sierra Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHCS) in 1995-1996. Following his residency, Dr. Mambourg stayed with the VASNHCS and served as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Ambulatory Care and Inpatient. From 2003 to 2017, he served as the Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator/Associate Chief of Pharmacy and PGY1 Residency Program Director for the VASNHCS. In 2017, he took on the role of VISN Pharmacy Executive. He is an active member of various local, regional, and national committees. Scott was 2009/10 Chair of the Education Committee of NVSHP, Past-Chair of the Western States Residency Conference and is active in ASHP and ACCP. He became BCPS certified 2005 and completed his first marathon (Rock-N-Roll, San Diego June 2007). He can be seen on the Tahoe ski slopes in the winter; camping, hiking, and biking in the summer; and enjoying regional wine tasting in the surrounding valleys.
Diana Higgins, Pharm.D., Pharmacy Program Manager
Diana graduated from the University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of California - Davis Medical Center. She previously worked as a Primary Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System (VASNHCS) in Reno, NV, and eventually accepted a position as the Associate Chief of Ambulatory Care Pharmacy. She is currently the VISN 21 Pharmacy Benefits Management Program Manager and chair/co-chair of numerous VISN 21 workgroups such as the Pharmacy Procurement and MCCF groups and the Pain Committee. Her current practice areas of interest include: medical center cost recovery, pharmacy procurement, pain management, MCCF, and hyperlipidemia/coronary risk reduction. She is located at the VA Northern California Health Care System in Sacramento, CA and precepts the residents for their Formulary Management experience.
Jennifer Kryskalla Marin, Pharm.D., VISN 21 Clinical Data Manager
Prior to her pharmacy career, Dr. Jennifer Kryskalla Marin was a methods research and development chemist with the US Geological Survey in Denver, CO. Dr. Marin earned her Pharm.D. degree from the University of Colorado, and her love of data drew her to the VA Northern California Healthcare System PGY1 residency with a focus on Pharmacoeconomics. She pursued further training in pharmacoeconomics, informatics, data management, and pharmacy administration with the VA Sierra Pacific VISN 21 PGY2 Managed Care Pharmacy Systems residency in Reno, NV. She has served as the VA Desert Pacific VISN 22 Pharmacoeconomist/Data Analyst from July 2012 - December 2016, with primary focus on cost containment, formulary management, opioid use risk reduction, and Hepatitis C patient population management. The Detroit native enjoys hiking, cycling, yoga, knitting, volleyball, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Joy Meier, Pharm.D, BCACP, PA, VISN 21 Clinical Data Manager
Joy graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at the DVA Medical Center in Martinez, CA. Over the years has held numerous faculty appointments and prior to her pharmacy career was a physician assistant as well. She works at the VA Northern California Health Care System in Martinez, CA as the VISN 21 Data Mart Manager and precepts the residents for their Data Management, Service and Policy Development, and Pharmacoeconomics and Health Outcomes experiences. She is actively involved in a number of the VISN 21 taskforces such as Oncology and is also a preceptor for the PGY-1 Pharmacoeconomics program at the VANCHCS. Her current practice interests include: data analysis, clinical dashboard development, pharmacoeconomics, mental health, Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACT), and oncology.
Amneet Rai, Pharm.D., VASNHCS Pharmacoeconomics Pharmacist
Amneet graduated from the University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He completed a PGY-1 Applied Pharmacoeconomics and Formulary Management residency at the VA Northern California Healthcare System. He is currently the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System Pharmacoeconomics Pharmacist in Reno, NV. His current practice interests are managed care/applied pharmacoeconomics, data informatics, and medication utilization evaluation. He is a member of numerous VISN 21 taskforces and committees and precepts PGY-2 residents for the local component of the Pharmacoeconomics learning experience. He is also a preceptor for the PGY-1 residents during their pharmacoeconomics rotation.
Amy Robinson, Pharm.D., PERC National Program Manager
Amy graduated from the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She completed a PGY-1 residency at the VA Northern California Health Care System in Martinez, California and her PGY-2 residency in Applied Pharmacoeconomics with the VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21) Pharmacy Benefits Management group in Reno, NV. Afterwards she was hired as the VISN 21/VISN 22 Mental Health Data Manager, took a position as the VISN 21 Data Manager, and is now the National Program Manager for the Patient Education Resource Center (PERC) in the Office of Mental Health (OMHO). Her current practice interests are SQL coding, multi-dimensional database (Cube) design, dashboard production, and pharmacoeconomics. She is located at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System in Palo Alto, CA and precepts the residents for their Data Management and Service and Policy Development rotations.
Janice Taylor, Pharm.D., BCPS, VISN 21 Clinical Data Manager
Janice Taylor, Pharm.D., BCPS, is a data manager for the VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21) Clinical Data Warehouse. In 2016 she completed her specialty PGY2 residency in Pharmacy Outcomes and Health Care Analytics with VISN 21. In her current position, Dr. Taylor provides data support and clinical input to the VISN 21 Antimicrobial Stewardship, Hepatitis C, Pain, Mental Health, Medication Safety, Inpatient, and Academic Detailing task forces.
Prior to coming to VISN 21, she completed her PGY1 general practice residency training at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System in Tucson, AZ. Originally from New Mexico; Dr. Taylor graduated with her Pharm.D. in 2014 from the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy in Albuquerque. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and current member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, Nevada Society of Health System Pharmacists, and the American Medical Informatics Association.
